Okay, lest I forget: Ctrl-space is to Visual Studio as M-/ is to emacs. They both try to complete the word you’re typing based on what is in your buffers.

Word completion in VB6 is very slow. Hopefully, VB 2005 will be better.

I hope the word completion in Visual Studio .Net gets better. So far, the best thing in Visual Studio for productivity is AutoComplete, which is where the developer uses abbreviations for common code fragments and keywords like String, Integer, etc.
