With help from the manufacturer’s 1-800 number, we determined that the troublesome thermostat was in fact faulty. As you move the set temperature up or down past the room temperature, you’re supposed to hear a little click. I wasn’t hearing the click. As luck would have it, I had purchased two identical thermostats and gave the second one a try. It clicked. So I have to make an extra trip to the Home Despot to exchange the faulty thermostat, but my manhood is intact!

be grateful you cd do the job(s) yrself and didn’t have to make an appt.w/ an hvac guy, WAIT, have someone come at $90.an hour, plus cost of thermostat(s). They wd have gone to home depot its true. still……….i hate to say it, but things like this happen all the time. in one part of the house/the car/ or another. or our bodies.
