I did some writing tonight about the how and why of the RSS/BitTorrent combination. The document still in draft form, but should be ready by Monday. It’s pretty mind-boggling how well the two technologies complement one another. RSS was designed to report freshly available content, which is exactly where BitTorrent shines. RSS 2.0 enclosures were designed to automate the download process that BitTorrent optimizes.

Well, this is gonna be big. How soon before folks just start creating content for BitTorrent with embedded advertising? Layer some reporting (e.g., Nelson Ratings) on top of this and you have the real deal network of networks of the future.

Excellent stuff Andrew! Can’t wait to have a full blown OS X version to test with.
