On the T this morning, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a flicker outside the subway car window. Looking out I saw a blur of moving images, which consolidated into a “movie” as the train picked up speed. It was an ad for Target. Can you believe it? Some innovative advertiser figured out that they could invert the animation flipbook by presenting a blocks-long series of stationary images to a moving audience.

  1. Between Porter and Harvard, inbound? That’s been up since August or so, got a lot of local news coverage (the Glob article was pretty detailed – apparently the T is making a *lot* of money off of it, which is good…) It started out as an add for some cruise line, I think, good to see it’s not a one-shot.
